100 recordmen stunned by the scale of the largest wine cellar in Vietnam
On the evening of December 6, 2019, a senior delegation of VietKings visited Dalat Wine Cellar. The activity took place before the ceremony to grant the title of Vietnam’s largest wine cellar to Dalat Wine Cellar in early 2020.
Mr. Le Tran Truong An – General Director of VietKings stated that this organization had carefully assessed criteria of size, area, architecture, and others before awarding the prestigious title to Dalat Wine Cellar.
The delegation was impressed by the unique architecture of the property. Architect Phan Van Thin Tho – Deputy Director of Smentor Institute said that Dalat Wine Cellar of Ladofoods was currently the most beautiful industrial architecture in Vietnam with high symbolic value. The wine cellar was designed following the shape of a leaf, located next to a grape-shaped lake. The entire property used concrete, glass, and natural wood, representing the sophisticated and romantic beauty of Vang Dalat as well as a message of harmony with nature and eco-friendliness by Ladofoods.
More than 100 recordmen and architects enjoyed fine wines
During the visit, recordmen witnessed a part of the winemaking process in the area where there are more than 150 wine fermentation tanks with capacities from 2,000 liters to 50,000 liters. This area is where more than 4 million bottles of wine of Ladofoods are produced each year for exporting to domestic and international markets.
Mr. Le Tran Truong An, General Director of VietKings gave a toast to Ms. Le Thuy Hang, Director of Ladofoods Factory
“The wine cellar is located on the highest area of Da Lat with an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level, where the temperature is ideal to make the finest wine. The cellar hatch door was designed towards a special direction to maintain temperature inside the cellar between 16-18oC. Humidity is always strictly controlled by a hygrometer, while lighting is carefully calculated to reduce the metabolic process of wine. The three European-standardized factors mentioned above jointly create unique signatures of Dalat Wine Cellar – the only European-standardized wine cellar in Vietnam”, said Ms. Le Thuy Hang.
